展柜里这一组是标准的藏级四件套：中间一颗大椭圆帝王绿蛋面作项圈主石，两侧白金翅翼铺碎钻；戒指用同色口的厚装蛋面；耳钉成对，椭圆、色浓、水头跟上项链。成套的价值不在「件数多」，而在色口、种水、切工能互相认亲。缺一颗，就只是三件高货，不是一套。
This vitrine holds a textbook collection parure: a large oval imperial-green cabochon on a diamond collar with white-gold wings; a high-dome ring in the same colour mouth; matched oval studs that follow the necklace in saturation and water. A set is not valuable because it has more pieces. It is valuable because colour, water and cut recognise each other. Lose one stone and you have three fine jewels, not a parure.
一、主石决定项圈，项圈决定其余
1. The main stone sets the collar; the collar sets the rest
项圈主石要够大、够正、水头能压住宽钻链。翅翼形碎钻是为了把视觉收到中间那颗绿，而不是把脖子铺成钻墙。戒指蛋面弧度要高，侧面看才有「肉」；太平的戒面再绿也像薄片。耳钉尺寸必须小于项链主石，否则耳朵和锁骨会打架。
The collar stone must be large, even, and watery enough to hold a wide diamond band. Wing-shaped pavé pulls the eye back to the green; it is not a diamond wall around the neck. The ring cabochon needs height so the profile has flesh—a flat green reads as a wafer. Studs stay smaller than the necklace stone or ear and collarbone fight.
二、配石比买石更慢
2. Matching is slower than buying
源头料里，同一色口能切出项链、戒指、一对耳钉的并不多。常见做法是先定项圈主石，再从同场口、同种的料里找接近的戒面和耳钉，允许戒指略深、耳钉略浅，但不能一个发黄、一个发蓝。白金统一成色，钻的色级也要同一批，否则绿会被钻的黄气带偏。
Few origin boulders yield a necklace, a ring and a pair of studs in one colour mouth. The usual path is to lock the collar stone, then hunt the same tract and texture for a ring and earrings. The ring may run a shade deeper, the studs a shade lighter—never one yellow and one blue. White gold and diamond colour must be one batch, or the diamonds pull the green off true.
